Multispecies Succession Conference 2026

In June 2026, my colleague Professor Rebecca Cassidy and I are hosting a conference at the University of Cambridge entitled Multispecies Succession: New Perspectives. An interdisciplinary conference with participants from the natural and social sciences, we will come together to rethink the usefulness of the concept of ‘succession’ through a multispecies lens. In thinking about succession, this conference will contribute new perspectives on multispecies ethnography and more-than-human theory.
